- February 18 talk by David Deen, Connecticut River Steward for Connecticut River Watershed Council.
- February 11 talk by NH state geologist, Dr. David Wunsch.
- February 4 talk by Prof. Frank Magilligan, Chair, Department of Geography, Dartmouth College

The theme of the February Brown Bag Lunch Series was "Coping with Population Growth: Impacts and Solutions."
- State and National issues were addressed by Jennifer Schoeder, NH Program Specialist, Center for Environment and Population.
- The second meeting on International issues had two speakers Paul Micou Vice-Chairman, United States Committee for the United Nations Population Fund, and Julie Starr, Population and Environmental Specialist, National Wildlife Federation, Northeast Natural Resources Center.
- The third and final meeting was on Regional and Local issues with speakers Tara Bamford, Executive Director of the Upper Valley-Lake Sunapee Regional Planning Commission; and Vicki Smith, Senior Planner for Hanover NH.
The well-attended meetings produced many questions and comments from the audience.
"Your Most Important Environmental Choices," the subject of the April 14, annual Forum at the Montshire Museum, featured Warren Leon, co-author of the Consumer's Guide to Effective Environmental Choices published when he was Deputy Director for Programs at the Union Of Concerned Scientists. Mr. Leon is currently Program Director for Education and Public Awareness at the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative's Renewable Energy Trust.
The Forum was co-sponsored by the LWVUV, Dartmouth College Environmental Studies Proqram, Hanover Conservation Council, Montshire Museum, Vermont Earth institute and Vital Communities. Members of the Natural Resources Committee include Ann Crow, Barbara Duncan, Charlotte Faulkner, Alice Jackson, Suzanna Liepmann, Barbara McIlroy, Joyce Noll, Kim Perez, Sarah Reeves, Keenie Richardson and Perry Williamson.
