The theme of the February Brown Bag Lunch Series was "Coping with Population Growth: Impacts and Solutions."

The well-attended meetings produced many questions and comments from the audience.

"Your Most Important Environmental Choices," the subject of the April 14, annual Forum at the Montshire Museum, featured Warren Leon, co-author of the Consumer's Guide to Effective Environmental Choices published when he was Deputy Director for Programs at the Union Of Concerned Scientists.  Mr. Leon is currently Program Director for Education and Public Awareness at the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative's Renewable Energy Trust.

The Forum was co-sponsored by the LWVUV, Dartmouth College Environmental Studies Proqram, Hanover Conservation Council, Montshire Museum, Vermont Earth institute and Vital Communities. Members of the Natural Resources Committee include Ann Crow, Barbara Duncan, Charlotte Faulkner, Alice Jackson, Suzanna Liepmann, Barbara McIlroy, Joyce Noll, Kim Perez, Sarah Reeves, Keenie Richardson and Perry Williamson.
