Presidents of the Hanover and Upper Valley League

Nationally, the League of Women Voters was founded by leaders of the women's suffrage movement in 1920 when the 19th amendment gave women the right to vote. Locally, the origins of the Upper Valley League go back to 1938 when the Hanover League was founded.
