School Districts and Boards
The three Hanover schools are divided into two districts, each governed by its own board. Both districts are part of School Administrative Unit (SAU) #70 .
Community Resources at the Schools
Libraries:
The public school libraries are community resources for use by any resident. The Ray School Library has 30,000 resource items (including books, magazines, videos etc). The Ray School Library is also open mornings during most of the summer. The Richmond Middle School holds about 10,000 books. Hanover High School library has about 18,000 books.

Courses:
Hanover residents may take courses at the middle and high schools by prior arrangement if there is room in the class.

Ray School Grounds:
Play Space and hiking trails in the back of the Ray School are open to the community when school is not in session. The Colonial House at the Ray School is also open to the public, by prior arrangement through the school office; a fee may be charged. The house is kept locked when not in scheduled use.
