What Good Citizens Should Know: Civics for the 21st Century.
Speaker: Professor Russell Muirhead

Are citizens up to the job of being good citizens? Some argue that most citizens in American democracy are too uninformed to properly judge public issues. Civic education in the schoold does not seem to adequately educate citizens to the responsibilities of self-government. What would it mean to be well-informed? What goals should civic education aim at? What, ideally, should good citizens know? Come hear Professor's Muirhead's thoughts on these civic questions--and share your views.
